Pepsi IPL 2013 begins

A grand and glittering opening ceremony heralded the start of the Pepsi IPL 2013 in style at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium. The venue resembled a star-studded galaxy with embellished lighting, the world’s cricket stars, and performing entertainers.
Renowned artists from the entertainment industry, the likes of international rapper Pitbull and Bollywood actor and co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan, along with Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone owned the stage and held sway over the packed audience. Besides the celebrities performing, the stage was also set on fire by flying drummers, Chinese percussionists, and breathtaking fireworks.
Amid all the glitz and glamour cricket held its limelight in a suave and dignified way. The captains of the nine teams participating in IPL 2013 took center stage when they joined hands to pledge adherence to the belief, ‘Play hard, Play fair’ by signing on the MCC Spirit of Cricket board. Former India cricketer and current commentator, Ravi Shastri administered the oath.
The moment that surprised and stunned close to 45,000 people present at the stadium came just before the captains signed the MCC Spirit of Cricket oath. A girl clad in white appeared over the arena, swinging a bunch of colorful balloons, carrying the Pepsi IPL 2013 Trophy. She stopped at the center and handed over the trophy to the captain of the current holders, Gautam Gambhir.

The Most expensive Mobile in the World

A PR stunt it may be and they surely can’t be expecting to sell any, but the Goldvish “Le million” is officially the most expensive mobile phone in the world, according the Guiness Books of Records. There has even been talk of a $1.3million phone, but this has fewer diamonds than the Goldvish so I can’t see where the extra expense comes from! The “Le million” is a one off piece featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, according to designer Emmanuel Gueit. If $1 million is out of your price range the Geneva-based Goldvish also offer several other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models in your choice of rose, yellow or white starting at a much more reasonable $25,600 (£13,837).

The War For Oil..

Ten years after the war, it was privatized and completely controlled by foreign companies of the US government and oil companies. "Iraq has huge oil and gas reserves and I want Chevron to use it," said Kenneth Derr, then Chevron CEO, in 1998. This is true today.
Let's go back a few years back to the 1990s, when private citizen Dick Cheney ran energy giant Halliburton. That's when he told the oil industry, “By 2010, we will need 50 million barrels of oil a day. So where will the oil come from? Although many countries in the world supply the oil giant, they hold two-thirds of the middle class oil. The world's oil and the lowest prices in the East are still the final prize."

Who really killed bin Laden?

"The Man Who Killed Osama bin Laden" was the subject of a lengthy profile in Esquire magazine in February. The story didn't distinguish the executioner by his genuine name, alluding to him just as "the Shooter."
The Shooter told Esquire he experienced al Qaeda's chief up close and personal in the highest level room of the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, where he'd been stowing away for over five years.

The shooter claimed that the al Qaeda leader was standing and had a gun "within reach," but it wasn't until then that he fired two shots into bin Laden's forehead, resulting in his death. That record was in a struggle with the story from one more strike member in a stunningly effective book, "No Simple Day."
Now, another secretive member of SEAL Team 6, which carried out the bin Laden raid, tells CNN that the Esquire account of the Shooter is false. The story is "complete B-S," this serving SEAL Team 6 operator asserts.
